Meet yours truly

Oh hey, I’m Sarah Johnson! Affectionately known as SJ by my nieces and nephews, I am a bit of an ambiance snob, guilty of sometimes first making "shoe-contact" before eye, and to me, all that glitters IS gold.  I'm from Michigan (Go Blue!), and have corporate experience in New York City and Chicago.  I bring the same attention to detail for planning a 20,000+ person concert for CBS or a Wall Street corporate holiday party that I would to an intimate backyard BBQ or your nana's seventieth soiree.  I credit NYC in particular for forever changing my eye (the city is optical Olympics, after all!), especially as it relates to fashion. I am also a *self-proclaimed* wizard at the black magic of scoring designer items for less!  

My first "clients" were my sisters- both busy supermoms balancing demanding careers as physicians.  Just getting everything done between homework, packing lunches and shuttling the kids to and from soccer practice became the obvious priority, and "the details" fell to the wayside. Parties were delegated to the nearest children's entertainment venue and finding the time to go shopping for themselves became a distant memory.  When I would come back home to visit, I would go through their closets and help curate chic work-appropriate outfits that would not only save them time in the morning, but also send them to work feeling great.  After assessing what was already in their closets (and what they could let go of), I would help refresh their wardrobes with versatile pieces they could easily dress up or down.  This then trickled into also shopping for cute and comfortable clothes for their kids, styling their Christmas card photo shoots or professional photos, planning personalized birthday parties, designing and decorating nurseries & bedrooms, living rooms, Airstreams, and on and on!  Word spread to their mommy-friends, and I feel honored to be able to help so many amazing women juggle all their various demands and help them get back to the details...it's some of my most rewarding work!
